The upper tray sits over the top teeth and the lower tray over the bottom teeth, set slightly forward of it. A small ratchet strip with four square notches runs along the front of the lower tray, so the forward setting can be changed a step at a time rather than all at once. Before the first use the mouthpiece is softened in hot water and bitten into shape, so both trays follow the outline of your own teeth. It is supplied with a small frosted plastic storage case with a hinged lid, four small vent holes and a snap tab at the front. Available in Bright Pink and in White, which is a clear colourless plastic.
