Lie on your front and let the wedge take your weight
You get onto the bed face down and settle your chest along the long moulded slope. The wide base spreads across the mattress underneath you, your forearms come forward onto the bed, and your chin rests on the small pillow at the top. A book or a phone sits below you instead of being held up.
- Chest and ribs carried on the sculpted slope
- Forearms free in front of you on the mattress
- Chin resting on the small pillow at the top

The small pillow snaps on where you want it
A short fabric strap runs down the front of the tall end and carries two press studs. The small pillow snaps on to it and comes off again in a second, and it moves up or down the strap when you want your head a little higher or a little lower. Leave it off and you are leaning on the slope alone.
- Two press studs hold the small pillow on
- The position on the strap is adjustable
- Comes off completely when you do not want it

The other way round it goes under your legs
Take the small pillow off, turn the wedge so the long slope runs away from you along the mattress, and lie on your back. Your calves follow the slope and your heels sit up near the raised end. It is the same piece of foam, simply pointing the other way.
- Calves lie along the full length of the slope
- Heels sit up at the raised end
- No second cushion to buy or store

One piece of moulded memory foam
It is not a stack and it is not stitched together from parts. The main piece is moulded in one go from memory foam, so the hollows and the ridges stay exactly where they are. The whole thing weighs 1.6 kg, and the jacket unzips along the base and lifts off.
- Main piece 58 x 38 x 23 cm
- Small pillow 26 x 13.5 x 7.5 cm
- Memory foam core, with a jacket that unzips at the base

Stood on end it fills the gap behind your back
Sitting up in bed usually leaves your lower back over open space while your shoulders press on something hard. Stand the wedge behind you instead and the moulded shape fills that gap, with the small pillow at the top where your neck reaches it.
- Fills the space between your back and the headboard
- Small pillow sits at the top, behind the neck
- The same piece, stood the other way up
The same bed, set up two ways
One person, one bed, one book. The only thing that changes between the two photographs is what she is lying on.

- Three or four ordinary bed pillows stacked into a heap.
- The heap spreads apart the moment any weight goes on it.
- It has to be built again from scratch every night.
- One moulded memory foam wedge in place of the whole heap.
- The shape holds, so there is nothing to straighten.
- The small headrest snaps on where you want it.
One shape.
Already made up.
Some evenings you want to read on your front. Some nights you want your legs up. It is the same piece of foam either way, and it is ready the moment you get into bed.
