Memory foam seat cushion with back support being placed on a wooden chair
One piece

The seat and the back rest are the same piece

Most chairs give you a flat pan and a back rest that sits somewhere behind you. This is moulded as one piece, so the seat and the curve behind your waist arrive already lined up. Put it on the chair, sit back into it, and that is the whole setup.

  • Seat and back rest moulded in a single piece
  • 44 cm wide, 42 cm deep and 32 cm tall
  • Sits loose on the chair, nothing to fit or fasten

The centre cut-out

The middle of the seat is left open

A slot is cut right through the foam at the back of the seat, where the tailbone sits. Your weight lands on the two contoured pads either side of it, and the centre of the seat never meets the chair at all.

  • Slot cut through the seat under the tailbone
  • Weight carried on the contoured pads either side
  • The opening runs all the way through the foam

Desk chair or dining chair

It moves from one chair to another

At 1.1 kg it lifts with one hand, so it can start the morning on an office chair and finish the evening on a dining chair. The base is flat and wide, so it sits down properly on a hard wooden seat as well as a padded one.

  • 1.1 kg, lifts with one hand
  • Flat wide base for hard seats and padded ones
  • Nothing to unclip when you move it

Removable cover

The cover unzips and goes in the wash

A zip runs the full length of the back edge. Open it, slide the foam out and the cover comes away in one piece. The underside is covered in small plastic granules, which is what keeps the cushion from creeping forward on a smooth seat.

  • Full length zip along the back edge
  • Cover lifts off and washes
  • Small plastic granules across the underside

Something you stop noticing

The point of it is that after ten minutes you forget it is there. It does not need adjusting, it does not wander about the seat, and it does not have to come off when you stand up. It stays on the chair and it is ready the next time you sit down.

  • Stays on the seat with no strap to fit
  • Nothing to switch on and nothing to charge
  • Ready the next time you sit down

Frequently asked questions

What size is it?+
It measures 44 cm across, 42 cm from front to back and 32 cm tall, and it weighs 1.1 kg. That covers the seat of a standard office chair and a standard dining chair.
Will it fit my office chair?+
It sits loose on the seat, so any chair with a flat seat pan takes it. There are no straps and nothing to clip on, so there is nothing that has to line up with your chair.
Can the cover be washed?+
Yes. A zip runs the full length of the back edge. Open it, slide the foam out and wash the cover on its own. Let it dry fully before the foam goes back in.
Will it slide forward on a smooth chair?+
The underside is covered in small plastic granules that grip the seat, so it stays where you put it on a wooden or a plastic chair as well as a fabric one.
What is the cut-out for?+
It leaves the centre of the seat open under the tailbone, so that area sits over open space rather than pressing into the chair. Your weight is carried on the contoured pads either side.
What is the difference between the colours?+
Light Grey is a single light tone throughout and Dark Grey is a single dark tone throughout. Dark and Light Grey pairs a dark charcoal top with a light grey base. The size, the shape and the foam are the same in all three.
