Sleeping on one side with the head resting inside the upper curve of the U shaped pillow
Side sleeping

Made for the way you already sleep

If you sleep on your side, a good part of the night goes on working out what to do with the arm underneath you. This pillow is shaped around that. Your head goes inside the upper curve of the U, and the open gap below it is where the lower arm sits, so it lies in the pillow rather than under your own weight.

  • Your head rests inside the upper curve
  • The lower arm lies through the open gap
  • One shape doing both at the same time

The open gap

The gap is the part that matters

The two arms of the U do not meet. That leaves a clear opening running right through the middle of the pillow, wide enough for a forearm to lie inside it. On a plain rectangle that arm has to go somewhere else. Here it has a space of its own.

  • An opening running right through the pillow
  • Wide enough for a forearm to rest inside
  • Nothing to fasten, adjust or set up

One piece

One pillow instead of a small pile

The usual side sleeping setup is one pillow under the head and a second one to hold on to, and by the morning both have moved. This is a single shape that covers the head and the gap together, so there is nothing to stack up at night and nothing to put back in the morning.

  • One piece rather than two pillows together
  • Sits on the bed ready to use
  • Nothing to build up or rearrange

The same bed, set up two ways

Nothing in the room changes. The only thing that changes is what goes under the head.

The same bed side by side, on the left her lower arm is pinned under a flat pillow and on the right it passes through the gap in the U shaped pillow
  • A flat pillow under the head and a second one pushed in behind.
  • The flat one squashes down and the lower arm ends up underneath it.
  • By morning both pillows have shifted out of place.
  • One U shape in the same spot, with the head in the upper curve.
  • The lower arm passes through the open gap between the two sides.
  • Nothing to stack and nothing to rearrange.

Shaped for one sleeping position, not for all of them

The U shaped side sleeping pillow measures 60 cm across and 45 cm deep
The size

60 cm across and 45 cm deep

It is a small pillow. Sixty centimetres from one outer edge of the U to the other, and forty five centimetres from the front of the opening to the back of the curve. That takes up one side of the bed rather than the full width of it, so the other side stays as it was.

  • 60 cm from one outer edge to the other
  • 45 cm from front to back
  • One size, so there is nothing to choose

485 g

Light enough to move with one hand

At 485 g there is very little to it. Pick it up by one arm of the U and take it to the other side of the bed, to a spare room, or into a bag. It is made from cotton and polyester, and it comes in white.

  • 485 g in total
  • Lifts by either arm of the U
  • Cotton and polyester, in white

One shape.
A gap for your arm.

Sleeping on your side comes down to where the arm underneath you goes. This puts a space there and leaves the rest of the bed alone.

Frequently asked questions

How big is it?+
It is 60 cm from one outer edge to the other and 45 cm from front to back, and the whole pillow weighs 485 g. That is small enough to sit on one side of a double bed without taking over the middle of it.
Which way round does it go?+
The curved arm of the U goes above and your head rests inside it. The opening between the two arms sits in front of your shoulder, and the lower arm of the U is what your forearm lies across.
Can I use it on either side of the bed?+
Yes. Turn the pillow round so the opening faces the other way and it sets up exactly the same, whichever side you sleep on.
What is it made from?+
Cotton and polyester, in white.
Does it replace my normal pillow?+
It goes where your head pillow goes, and it does the job of the second pillow people hold on to at the same time. You can still keep an ordinary pillow on the bed for when you turn onto your back.
Is there more than one size or colour?+
No. It comes in one size, 60 cm by 45 cm, and one colour, white, so there is nothing to pick between.
